FLYQUEST : Given the number of teams in North America looking to bolster their rosters, the offseason for all 10 LCS squads is likely to be packed with significant additions. For instance, FlyQuest has been connected to a rising star in the area’s business community.
According to esports writer Brieuc Seeger, former Team Liquid Academy star Eyla has verbally agreed to join FlyQuest in 2023 as the team’s new support. The 23-year-old support has been outstanding for the Academy scene this year, and he has been instrumental in Liquid’s Academy team winning many titles.
League statistics aggregator Oracle’s Elixir shows that this past summer, Eyla had the most assists of any player in both the Academy and LCS Proving Grounds events. Using a varied champion pool that included selections such Renata Glasc, Nautilus, Lulu, and Amumu, he placed in the top five for both KDA and kill participation % in both tournaments.
In addition to his short stand-in during the fourth week of the Spring Split, many fans got their first look at Eyla’s ability when he had to sub in for Liquid’s All-Star support CoreJJ during this year’s Lock-In event. The 23-year-cool old’s manner and consistent performance on a tried-and-true support choice, Thresh, won over many fans and experts during that time.

With the offseason shakeup at FlyQuest that saw the departure of high-profile players like Josedeodo and Toucouille and the hiring of PapaSmithy as president and chief gaming officer, Eyla should be the first domino to fall.
Eyla has a ton of talent and a significant amount of experience under his belt after having battled with some of the finest players in the world with Liquid.
