BUGI | There is talk of a new Korean jungler joining TSM’s 2023 LCS lineup

BUGI : Occasionally in competitive League of Legends, you have to completely dismantle your team in order to start again. For instance, after a year of poor results, long-standing North American organization TSM is tearing itself apart completely. The reconstruction has started, first in the bush.

Blix’s Alejandro Gomis claims that former Estral Esports jungler Lee “Bugi” Seong-yeop has signed up with TSM to serve as the team’s main jungler in 2023. In light of the team’s suspension of its $210 million naming rights contract with the now-defunct cryptocurrency exchange FTX, this is the first significant roster report concerning the company.

Beginning his career in the LJL with the Japanese esports company SCARZ, Bugi has been a mercurial jungler ever since. Only two international competitions had he ever participated in—the 2020 World Championship and the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational. However, the 2019 LMS Spring title with Flash Wolves is his sole significant tournament victory to date.

In the future, Bugi will be responsible for following in the footsteps of some of the league’s most prominent players. Former TSM jungler Spica has risen rapidly over the previous four years to become a superstar All-Pro contender and a prominent figure in the LCS. Although he and the squad gained a substantial fan following because to his great technical ability, electrifying playstyle, and approachable attitude, the organization ultimately opted to terminate his contract at the end of 2022.

His departure signals the end of an era, as one of the League’s most storied franchises will have to start over after a disastrous season. On November 21st, the start of the international free agency season is anticipated.
